The foreclosure rates in the Winston-Salem metropolitan statistical area declined during May, national real-estate research firm RealtyTrac said Thursday.

There were 285 filings in the five-county region, with Forsyth County accounting for 194 (68.1 percent). The rest were 56 in Davidson County, 13 in Yadkin County, 11 in Stokes County and eight in Davie County.
